Sara Ross is a Boulder-based attorney and is Of Counsel with Feldmann Nagel Margulis. Sara specializes in cannabis business transactional matters, and draws on over a decade of experience as a family law settlement attorney to negotiate difficult issues, work closely with rules and regulations, perform detailed financial and legal analyses, and craft complicated written agreements. Born and raised in Boulder, Sara is committed to Boulder’s cannabis community and excited to be a part of helping Boulder’s cannabis industry grow.
After graduating summa cum laude from Barnard College at Columbia University in New York City, Sara worked as a paralegal for a preeminent plaintiffs’ class action firm and then graduated cum laude from the University of California’s Hastings College of the Law. Sara’s first years as an attorney were spent at Thelen, Reid, Brown, Raysman & Steiner, LLP in San Francisco, working on white collar crime, insurance subrogation, and IP transactional cases. While at Thelen, Sara also had the pleasure of litigating a complicated immigration asylum case through to a successful finish.
Upon returning home to Colorado in 2007, Sara built a thriving family law practice focused on Collaborative law, mediation, and marital agreements. She finds tremendous satisfaction in helping clients find creative ways to reach their goals.
When Sara isn’t lawyering, she can be found making pottery, dancing, spending time with family and friends, reading books, and being outside in this gorgeous place we call home.
