Nick is a seasoned transactional attorney with extensive corporate law experience including: entity formation; corporate governance and structuring; debt and equity fundraising; securities regulation; mergers and acquisitions; employment and HR; and regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining Cantafio and Song, Nick was General Counsel for Pure Harvest Corporate Group (OTCQB:PHCG) a publicly traded company focused on the cannabis and commercial hemp industries. In this role, Nick managed all legal aspects of operations and was responsible for preparing and filing of SEC reports, drafting Board minutes and resolutions, maintaining a portfolio of subsidiaries, ensuring regulatory compliance of cannabis operations, contract negotiation and drafting, and managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio.
Before working with Pure Harvest, Nick worked with entrepreneurs and small businesses in and around the Colorado cannabis industry in addition to owning and operating several startups in the space. Thanks to this experience, Nick is familiar with the inner workings of a business and knows how a company operates and what it needs to be successful. This insight allows Nick to approach client issues with both a legal and a business mindset.
Nick earned his law degree from the University of Arizona with a certificate in international trade and commerce and served on the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law. Nick completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and graduated with degrees in finance and political science.
