Updated Prison Sentences for Second Degree Assault

Colorado is taking some significant steps towards sentencing reform. Within the last two years, Governor Hickenlooper has signed two bills that essentially eliminated mandatory prison sentences for second degree assault on a peace officer, firefighter or EMT and eliminated mandatory prison sentences for most other forms of second degree assault that included some Violation of Bail Bond Conditions.
