David E. Little

Attorney

David E. Little attended the University of Texas for undergraduate studies and law school, graduating in 1989 with a History degree, and in 1992 with a Doctor of Jurisprudence. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps in 1991 and served on active duty from 1993 to 1996. As a Marine Judge Advocate, he defended more than 100 Marines before courts-martial and administrative discharge hearings. In 1996, David returned to Austin and joined the firm of Brown McCarroll & Oaks Hartline, L.L.P. There his practice focused primarily on medical malpractice, products liability, insurance defense, and toxic torts. He remains in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, and was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in 2006.

He joined Germer Gertz Beaman & Brown, L.L.P. in January 2000, and became a partner with the firm in 2002. He maintains a general civil litigation practice, focusing on medical malpractice, employment litigation defense, and construction law. His trial experience includes both civil and criminal matters, and he has participated in the defense of major products liability, commercial litigation, and toxic tort cases throughout the state of Texas. In 2005, David was recalled to active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and deployed to Iraq with the 2d Marine Division in western Al Anbar province. After being released from active duty, David returned to full-time practice with the firm on November 1, 2005.

David has been selected a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2006 and 2007. David is licensed to practice in the Supreme Court of Texas, all Texas Courts of Appeals, all Texas trial courts, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, all United States District Courts in Texas, and all U. S. Military courts. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Austin Bar Association, Judge Advocate's Association, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel.
