The first suggestion is to set up a co-parenting plan with your new spouse
right away. We have found that setting healthy boundaries early on makes
all the difference. If the roles are clearly defined, this solves the
issues before they even start.
The third suggestion seems to me to be the most critical and this is regardless
of the specific post divorce dynamics. Former spouses, despite whatever
emotions exist between them (especially when a new partner may be involved),
must put aside their differences and work together as a team. This is
not about the parents. This is about the best interest of the children.
Thus, the parents must work together as a team and not put their own interest
