Since joining the Denver Division of Feldmann Nagel, LLC in 2010, Mr. Bryan has practiced in Military criminal defense and administrative law, and supports attorneys in civilian criminal defense, trusts and estates, contract, and family law.
Before moving to Colorado, Mr. Bryan practiced in the Florida Keys in the areas of maritime law (including maritime torts, Jones Act, Longshoreman's and Harbor Worker's Compensation Act, vessel acquisition, charter parties, vessel inspection, and administrative appeals before the U.S. Coast Guard), access to public lands, educational civil rights, criminal and DUI defense, landlord tenant disputes, employment law, federal income taxation, and trusts and estates. He also advised commercial food service clients in leasing, permitting, taxation, contract disputes, procurement, and liquor license acquisition and defense.
Mr. Bryan's present academic legal pursuits have included, for several years, grading law exams for a top-ranked university in the areas intellectual property, the law of marketing and unfair trade practices, and property rights. Legal research interests include the law of equity, and common law pleading.
Mr. Bryan studied at the Ave Maria School of Law as a recipient of the St. Thomas More scholarship, where he took a Doctoral degree in Jurisprudence. He excelled in moot court and oral advocacy, winning the Thomas More Civil Litigation Trial Competition as a third year student. His academic research interests were focused on maritime salvage and find, the law of marriage, and legal philosophy. He completed studies in maritime law, vessel acquisition and registration, charter party litigation, and maritime torts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He served as a research assistant in Roman Law at the Independence Institute in Golden, Colorado.
Mr. Bryan is a lifetime sailor, is a former merchant mariner, and a former middle school mathematics and science teacher. He was a seminarian for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Denver, where he studied medieval philosophy and theology. For many summers he was an instructor at sailing camps in Colorado and Maine. He is a proud alumnus of the Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Mr. Bryan believes in providing exceptional legal services to clients and their families across their lifetime of legal needs. He is an artful and articulate advocate, and considers clients themselves the most important member of a legal team.
Mr. Bryan is admitted practice before U.S. military criminal courts and tribunals. He is also admitted to practice before the courts of the State of Florida, the U.S. District Court for Colorado, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. He is licensed as an Attorney and Counselor at Law by the Florida Supreme Court.
He will sit for the July administration of the Colorado Bar Exam.
